Podunk Bluegrass Music Festival is typically always held the 2nd full weekend in August. 
Podunk Bluegrass Music Festival Inc. is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. All contributions, less benefits of a certain value, are fully tax-deductible in accordance with the law (Tax ID #06-1457866).

General Information

Wednesday-those with camping tickets only may enter the fairgrounds (Rodeo is at 1:00) and begin setting up for a long weekend of community and  magical fun! Arrival Info
Thursday,  join us for the first day of bluegrass music featuring the Podunk/Telefunken Band Competition and other performers. The festival kicks into high gear on Friday and Saturday, with great bluegrass music on our Main stage concluding on Sunday with our Gospel show, Kids Academy performance and more. Bring a chair or a blanket, kick back, relax and enjoy the show! We also have the best regional acts,  workshops and more on our Housatonic and Litchfield stages all weekend long.

What Else Is Happening?

There is camping available on site, (Electrical Hookups available for an additional fee), or you can purchase a day ticket. NO ticket fees on any tickets!  There will be a series of free workshops, craft vendors, jam sessions, and a great variety of food and drink available. We also will offer a children’s activity area and a free kids academy. At our Trading Post, you will find ice for purchase, along with tons of fun raffles, festival t-shirts, artist merch and more!

Plenty of Field Picking

Bring your instrument and join in at the camping grounds for some good old fashion picking!  Plenty of chances to play into the wee hours!
