Ways you can help Podunk
Hello Podunk Friends,
Podunk Bluegrass Music Festival is an official 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
We are run by a small Board of Directors who along with our hard working crew captains and volunteers, put in hundreds of hours each year to bring bluegrass music and music education to children in Connecticut. We are a 100% volunteer organization with no paid staff.
We are also proud to offer a Veterans Appreciation day where veterans and active duty personnel receive free admission and a meal. We love our home in Goshen, and plan to be there for a long time.
Podunk’s budget relies primarily on ticket and merchandise sales in addition to your support of our vendors at the festival. Every dollar goes directly to expenses. There is no promoter making any profit like at many bluegrass festivals.
To continue to bring you a first rate festival, we could use your support.
In addition to your ticket purchases here are six ways you can help keep Podunk rolling along:
1 – Make a tax deductible contribution. Does your employer match charitable donations? Podunk is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. All donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by the law. See the Donate buttom at the bottom of this page or click here to make a donation now.
2 – Volunteer. We accept volunteer applications on our website in Spring. It’s a great way to meet new people and become part of the action.
3 – Become a sponsor. Many sponsorship opportunities exist for individuals as well as businesses to join our amazing family of sponsors. See our Sponsorship page for details.
4 – Place an ad in our program book. An inexpensive way to be a hero. More info here!
5 – Buy a ticket for someone who’s never been to Podunk. Give someone the gift of Bluegrass and introduce them to the festival experience. Once they experience the festival we are sure they will catch the bluegrass bug!
